Today we arranged a briefing session on the coaching camp to prepare our swimmers for the forthcoming National Event to be conducted from 10th to 12th Nov.'13 at Basavangudi, B'lore. Our Technical Director Mr Ananda Jothi, who is a renowned physiotherapist, demonstrated fitness exercises to our swimmers. He has shown exercises which can be done by the swimmers who can use only hands (those exercises can be done in sitting or lying posture) and also for the swimmers who can use only legs. Really it's very helpful for all of u. With the support of my organisation Scope Int'l we could distribute protein powder packs and theraband (helpful for doing exercises) to all the swimmers whom we are going to send for the national event. We provided lunch to all the attendants. Pudhu Vaazhu Project Officials helped in bringing swimmers from the districts for the session.
With the consent of all the swimmers it is proposed to arrange a coaching camp at Dindigul from 19th Oct.'13 to 9th Nov.'13 apart from the weekend coaching which has been continuing for many weeks. I am going to meet SDAT officials for the required approvals.
For the first time in our State we have taken the initiative to provide intensive coaching for our paraswimmers who are going to participate in the National Event with the sole intention of encouraging our differently abled swimmers and bringing laurels to our State also.
